Change URL without submit in Chrome Extension
I have a problem with Chrome extension when I try to change the URL without actually redirecting.
All I'm trying to do is to replace an image in the browser with another, but chrome is redirecting it to a new page.
If I replace the image in my source, it works perfectly.
I already tried adding an onclick listener that doesn't do anything, but the only result I got is the old page, so I tried to manually change the source of the image with the old URL, but that doesn't work either.
A:
As nbk already mentioned, if you don't want a redirect, you have to use a content script.
If you don't want it to do anything when it gets loaded, you have to return true in your injected script.
This project is designed to develop an effective vaccine for the prevention of invasive pneumococcal disease. Streptococcus pneumoniae causes invasive infections including pneumonia, meningitis, and sepsis. Pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccines have been used for more than 30 years to prevent pneumonia. Although effective, these vaccines can be expensive to administer and poorly immunogenic in children and the elderly. Moreover, they are poorly effective in protecting against disease caused by the seven non-typeable strains and can cause harmful reactions such as anaphylaxis. As a result, there is a major need to develop an alternative vaccine that can prevent pneumococcal disease. In this project we will investigate the potential of a novel protein vaccine, vaccine candidate PspA, for prevention of pneumococcal disease. We hypothesize that PspA will be able to protect against all disease caused by pneumococci ac619d1d87
